Seems like just yesterday we were driving home on New Year's Day when Prince Charming received a speeding ticket.
No, I am never going to let him live that down. (Unless I ever happen to get a ticket.)
This year has been short, painful, exciting, and intense. Most experiences of this year I'd rather not ever live through again. But, of course, that isn't really up to me. I can also tell you that this year has seen me wrestling with God in a way that I haven't before. I don't think we're done yet. Stay tuned. I may have to write a book about it. When I finish my other book, naturally.
What will 2009 hold? I don't know. But I hope it doesn't start with a speeding ticket. We don't need another year that flies by so quickly.

Hmm...you haven't lived in Tyler. I never got speeding tickets until I moved here. :P There's a few places the speed limit drops quickly from 55 to 35, and I've been caught twice. One time I was slowing down. :( Anyway, I remember now!
It has been a difficult year for us, too, but I'm trying to rest in faith. I know Providence is active in this world, in our nation, and in our family.
I rembered the ticket as I passed
the location.
P.S I have decided not to celebrate the New Year because apparently the calendar was designed by a Catholic Monk and January is named after some mythological god or something.
Who knew?!

P.S. :)
