Throwback Thursday - Deep Thoughts with Tigger

Throwback Thursday is when I look back through my blog archives and remember an old post.

Post for this week: Deep Thoughts with Tigger from August 9, 2010.

What I like about it: it reminds me - again! - that my children are always teaching me, if I pay attention.

What I'd change now: Well, I did manage to put a picture in it the first time, but I might make a pinnable image.

What made me think about this post? Well, last night we were sitting in church, listening to a sermon about The Sermon on the Mount. Loving your enemies was mentioned. Sweet Pea leaned over to me and whispered, "I don't really have many enemies."
Not exactly a teachable moment for me, but it did make me smile. At least they're listening. (Although I honestly can't imagine this sweet girl having any enemies.)

(For a funny spiritual moment with Polly, see this post: That's Harsh.)

Do you read through your old posts? If you have one you love, please share it.

Words on Wednesday - Better By Morning

I know not everything gets better by morning but I have to admit that one of my favorite verses is Psalm 30:5

For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.

So, do you agree or disagree with this quote? I'd love to hear what you think.

Books of 2014 - June

June was a great reading month for me - lots to driving means more opportunities for reading, especially now that I have a Kindle and can read in the dark (oh, happy day!).

What made it out of my "to-be read" stack and into my finished list? Read on:
